Job Description
In search of a senior level Oracle database developer and cold fusion programmer to work on multiple complex web based applications and reporting tools.
Major efforts involved in the projects include: creation of database packages, procedures, scripts, functions; as well as cold fusion components and user interfaces.
Most applications are built in Oracle 10g and cold fusion MX7.
Responsibilities:
Design and administer Oracle databases
Database design using Oracle Designer, ERWIN, QDesigner, or other database design/modeling software.
Write complex SQL queries and PL/SQL procedures for interaction with web application interfaces and report generation tools.
Creation and administration of database objects such as packages, stored procedures, triggers, functions, sequences, indexes, views and materialized views.
Perform data migration tasks such as table/ column mapping, conversion scripts, and test procedures.
Perform SQL query performance tuning.
Manage database application security, including developing and maintaining database objects auditing and application transaction logging.
Perform cold fusion MX7 development and maintenance
Write java script code to perform client side functions
Conduct unit testing of their code as well as other development team members
Assist in writing documentation (user guides, test plans)
Participate in S/W development Lifecycle SDLC peer reviews
Document technical standards and processes.
Requirements/ Qualification:
5+ year’s relational database experience, including strong SQL skills and understanding of database design.
3+years experience with oracle database version 9i and 10g including SQL and PL/SQL development, database administration , schema mgt and application tuning.
2+ years solid cold fusion development at least through version MX6
1+year of experience writing Cold fusion components.
2+years JAVASCRIPT programming including incorporation into web based data entry forms for client side calculations and validation
Knowledge of system development Lifecycle SDLC
Demonstrated experience interpreting requirements documentation
Preferred:
Experience with new CFMX7 functions (Specifically reporting)
Demonstrated experience with Change mgt process/ software
Experience using source control application
Graphic design experience
Familiarity with information architecture practices such as process flow diagram, wireframes and use cases. |
